Full description and what we offer

Diablo Rod and Gun Club operates at United Sportsmen Inc., a shared facility in Concord that houses five clubs. With over 2,700 members, Diablo offers the range variety most shooters hunt for:

  • •Action Pistol and DAP (Diablo Action Pistol)
  • •Trap, Skeet, and Five Stand
  • •Silhouettes (rimfire and airgun)
  • •Benchrest
  • •Sporting Clays
  • •National Rimfire League
  • •Musketeer Hardball
  • •Airgun Field Target and League
  • •Military Rifle
  • •Night Shooting
  • •Archery and Impalement Arts
  • •Reloading instruction

Memberships are affordable for individuals and families. Non-members can access trap and skeet ranges with day-use fees.

Over 80% of club activities are FREE for youth under 18 (minors of members), including ammunition.

This isn't a sideline—Diablo treats youth programs as core mission. Kids aged 8-18 have regular opportunities across multiple shooting disciplines with qualified instruction. The club explicitly positions itself as developing tomorrow's shooters.

Diablo runs dedicated Ladies Shooting Sports Clinics. Recent attendees report the club provides meals, foundational gun safety instruction, hands-on range work with multiple pistol types, and Range Officer support focused on grip, stance, aim, and safety fundamentals. The clinic attracts working women new to shooting—not just experienced shooters.

  • •Monthly social dinners (third Tuesday)
  • •Saturday Night Shooting (5pm-8pm, $15 members/$20 non-members)
  • •Regular match competitions
  • •Trophy awards program
  • •Active forum and member communication

United Sportsmen Inc. operates a Northern California range with ongoing development: expanded range capacity, plans for indoor facilities, and extended night shooting hours. The club actively maintains and improves its shooting infrastructure.
