Diablo Rod & Gun Club

Diablo Rod & Gun Club is part of United Sportsmen Inc., a 2,700-member organization in Concord that runs one of Northern California's most active shooting facilities. If you shoot—pistol, rifle, shotgun, air gun, or archery—there's an activity here for you.

The club sponsors over 15 different shooting sports and competitions:

Members get discounted fees on public range access and free or reduced-cost participation in most club activities.

Over 80% of club activities allow youth under 18 to shoot free of charge, including ammunition. The club takes youth development seriously—kids ages 8-18 can participate in Olympic shooting, air guns, silhouettes, and more without cost. This isn't a sideline; it's core to what Diablo does.

Diablo runs dedicated women-only shooting classes. Member feedback highlights excellent instruction on fundamentals—grip, stance, sight picture, safety—plus meals provided during all-day events. These clinics attract newcomers and returning shooters alike.

United Sportsmen manages a multi-range complex with dedicated areas for different disciplines. The action range hosts speed shooting matches. Trap and skeet ranges operate year-round. The multipurpose range handles rimfire and air gun events. The club is actively expanding—planning indoor facilities and additional ranges.

This is a working shooters' club, not a corporate range. You'll find competitive shooters, hunters staying sharp for season, families learning gun safety, and casual shooters enjoying time with friends. Monthly social dinners on the third Tuesday bring members together.
