Full description and what we offer
The Kings River Regulators are a non-profit SASS-associated Cowboy Action Shooting™ club competing at the Fresno Rifle and Pistol Club in Clovis. Members dress as cowboys and cowgirls from the Old West and test their marksmanship on scenario-based, timed competitions using period-correct firearms.
Cowboy Action Shooting is a competitive shooting sport where participants use firearms historically associated with the American Cowboy: single action revolvers, lever action rifles, and shotguns. Matches consist of five stages with multiple targets, and shooters are timed from start to finish. It's skill-based, immersive, and combines shooting accuracy with the atmosphere of Old West competition.
Summer Hours (March–October) - Saturday: Registration 7:30 AM, setup 8:00 AM, shooting immediately after - Sunday: Registration 7:30 AM, mandatory meeting 8:00 AM, shooting 8:30 AM
Winter Hours (November–February) - Saturday: Registration 8:30 AM, setup 9:00 AM, shooting immediately after - Sunday: Registration 8:30 AM, mandatory meeting 9:00 AM, shooting 9:30 AM
New shooter orientation happens on Saturday of each match.
Safety on the range is priority number one. Having fun is second.
The Kings River Regulators run well-organized events with established scoring and stage management. They host the annual Fort Miller West Coast Championship (April), one of the region's major SASS events, plus monthly regular matches throughout the year. Leadership includes the Mayor (Big Bad Blaine) and Territorial Governor (Snakebite), who coordinate events and maintain club standards.
New shooters can join in without prior competition experience. The club offers orientation during Saturday match registration. Contact Mayor Big Bad Blaine at (559) 352-9829 or Territorial Governor Snakebite at (559) 999-9715 for questions about joining or getting started.
