The Target Range has been serving shooters across the Los Angeles area since the early 1990s. Whether you're picking up your first firearm or refining precision skills, their staff works seven days a week to answer questions and help you maximize range time.
Located at 16140 Cohasset Street in Van Nuys, The Target Range serves shooters from: - West Los Angeles and Santa Monica - Burbank and Westhills - Culver City and Calabasas - Sherman Oaks and Downtown LA
The facility features air-conditioned and heated shooting lanes, so weather doesn't cut your training short.
One of the largest firearm selections in the Los Angeles area means you actually have choices:

If they don't stock what you want, most firearms ship in as little as one or two days.
Try Before You Buy - Rent firearms and try different models without additional rental fees when you switch between rentals on the same visit.

Note: When the range is full, a one-hour time limit applies to all lane rentals. Additional shooters on the same lane are half price. Eye and ear protection included with all lane rentals.
Private lessons are available by appointment and scale to your experience level—beginner through expert. Lessons cover:

Each lesson includes one hour of private instruction with a firearms instructor, lane fee, gun rentals, targets, hearing and eye protection. Ammunition costs extra.

The Target Range enforces strict safety protocols:
- •At least one person with shooting experience required per lane
- •All shooters must be 18+ (or accompanied by an adult)
- •21+ with valid ID to purchase ammunition
- •Firearms unloaded except when actively shooting
- •Actions open on all guns when not shooting
- •Eye and ear protection mandatory on range
- •Rapid firing and barricade shooting prohibited
- •No holstering weapons
- •Semi-jacketed hollow points and exposed lead rounds not permitted
- •Brass-cased ammunition only
- •No smoking, eating, or drinking on range
- •Maximum two people per lane
- •No spectators on firing line
All ammunition must be inspected and approved by a range officer before use. Non-compliant rounds include semi-jacketed soft or hollow points, exposed lead, and non-brass casings.
