Windsor Marksmen's Association started as a small group of local sportsmen in the early 1960s with just 20 members. Today the club boasts over 200 members, welcoming shooters regardless of race, creed, ethnic background, gender, or experience level.
The club runs a seriously diversified match schedule:
No matter your shooting interest, WMA has something in the calendar.
The range sits in quiet, peaceful settings adjacent to the Connecticut River in Windsor:
Requirements to join: - Minimum age 21 - Current NRA membership - Valid Connecticut pistol or long gun permit - Sponsored by a member in good standing (2+ years)
What membership costs: - Base annual dues: $60 - Required work credits: 50 per calendar year (earn credits at meetings, matches, range cleanup, Shad Derby volunteer work) - Failing to earn 50 credits adds $30 assessment - Late renewal (after Feb 21): additional $25 fee
Member obligations: - Attend at least 3 monthly meetings per year - Complete 2 workdays annually (range cleanup or Shad Derby participation) - All first-year members cannot bring guests to the range

Regular membership meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month (except July and September) at:

WMA enforces strict safety protocols:
Firearms not on firing line must be: - Holstered, OR - Unloaded with action open and magazine removed and encased, OR - At rifle rack unloaded, muzzle up, bolt open, magazines out, ECI inserted
