Shooters Indoor Range and Gun Shop

Shooters Indoor Range and Gun Shop operates a climate-controlled shooting facility in Augusta with 11 lanes stretching 25 yards. The range handles everything from .22 LR up to 5.56, with strict safety protocols—all guns require sights, shotguns are prohibited due to past birdshot violations, and steel-case ammo is not allowed.

Gun rentals run $10 for handguns, $15 for long guns, plus ammo purchased on-site.

The shop focuses on self-defense and concealed carry rather than hunting or cowboy action guns. Current handgun inventory includes Smith & Wesson, Glock (multiple generations), Springfield Armory Hellcat, Sig Sauer, H&K VP9, Canik, Ruger, Beretta, and Rock Island. Long guns lean heavily into AR-15 platforms (Smith & Wesson, Daniel Defense) and self-defense shotguns from Mossberg and Remington.

Revolvers and single-action hunting guns are special order only—call ahead if you need something outside their core inventory.

Rental handguns span .22 LR to .44 Magnum, with most options in 9mm for new shooters. Long gun rentals include Mossberg .22 and Ruger 9mm carbine. Rental gun ammunition must be purchased at Shooters.

Three certified NRA instructors offer one-on-one or couple instruction, typically 3 hours. Sessions cover the "10 Commandments" of firearm safety, grip, trigger control, stance, and target acquisition before firing. Personal defense law is included. Contact directly for pricing and availability:

Shooters accepts transfers from other FFLs. Transfer fees: $30 standard, $20 for Georgia Weapons Carry License (GWCL) holders, $10 for range members. GWCL holders skip NICS background checks on form 4473. Guns not picked up within 14 days accrue $30/month storage fees. Non-Georgia residents requiring handgun transfers can either have them returned to seller or transferred to an FFL in their home state.

Shipping limitations: Shooters does not ship to California, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, or Massachusetts.

No holster draws, no alcohol or drugs, no smoking (tobacco-free facility). Ear and eye protection mandatory. All long guns require a bullseye or combo target at backstop. Prohibited: shotguns with birdshot, shot shells, black powder/muzzle loaders, rifle-caliber pistols, bump stocks, tracers, and green-tip 5.56.
