Wildcat Valley Rifle & Pistol Club is a private, not-for-profit shooting club sprawling across 41 acres near Brookston, Indiana—just north of Lafayette. The club sanctions matches in 11 different shooting sports:
- •IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) – Practical self-defense scenarios using your concealed carry or duty gear. No equipment handicaps. You shoot with what you actually carry.
- •USPSA (United States Practical Shooting Association) – Speed and accuracy competitions across multiple divisions.
- •SASS Cowboy Action – Lever-action rifles, single-action revolvers, and shotguns firing period-correct ammunition.
- •INMG Multigun (3-Gun) – Stages requiring rifle, handgun, and shotgun combinations.
- •Trap & Skeet – Shotgun games with voice-activated clay throwers.
- •Steel Challenge (SCSA) – Fast-paced steel plate shooting.
- •NRL22 – National Rifle League rimfire precision competitions.
- •Silhouette – Metallic animal targets at distance.
- •Highpower Rifle – Long-range centerfire precision.
- •ICORE – Rimfire competition format.
- •PCSL – Additional competitive discipline.
New to competitive shooting? The club recommends attending a match as an observer before competing, especially for multigun events.
Members receive a key card allowing 24/7 range access (8:00 AM – 10:00 PM) except during scheduled events. NRA membership is required for club membership. The facility includes a clubhouse with restrooms and central A/C/heat.
Public Access: - Monthly meetings (1st Wednesday, 7:30 PM) open to the public - Scheduled match days open to spectators and competitors
Wildcat Valley is 100% NRA affiliated (Club #C3053) and CMP affiliated (Club #53011). No hunting is permitted on club property.
The club is managed by an elected executive board and organized discipline chairs who oversee rule compliance and competition scheduling. Each shooting sport has a dedicated coordinator ensuring matches run smoothly.
