Monument Beach Sportsmans Club

Monument Beach Sportsman's Club (MBSC) has been serving shooters, archers, and hunters since 1964. Situated on 199 MacArthur Boulevard in Bourne—just minutes from the Bourne Bridge—the club spans 62 acres with four major facilities and numerous outdoor ranges.

MBSC operates competitive programs across multiple disciplines:

• •Archery: USA Archery Certified Instructors teach youth (8-17) and adults (18+) in the largest modern indoor archery range on Cape Cod. The range accommodates 17 targets at distances up to 40 yards, plus Olympic-standard 20-yard shooting. Equipment provided for beginners. Group lessons sold in blocks with flexible scheduling.
• •Trap Shooting: Saturday and Sunday mornings, 9 AM until around noon. Competitive clay target shooting for all skill levels and ages.
• •Steel Speed Shoot: Monthly IDPA-style competitions with 4 stages, 2-3 strings per stage. Shooters choose from rimfire or centerfire pistol/rifle categories. $20 entry for one category, $5 per additional.
• •.22 LR Match Series: Indoor and outdoor rimfire competitions with Sport, Match, and Open class divisions. Restrictions on ammo type and equipment to keep competition fair. First indoor match of 2025 scheduled January 18th.
• •Indoor Pistol Range: State-of-the-art 8-station, 50-foot range with electronic target retrieval, HEAC filtered ventilation, and ADA-accessible facilities. Open 24/7 to members and escorted guests except during league nights.
• •5 Stand: Additional clay target shooting venue.
• •Rimfire PRS: Precision rifle series.

From September through April, a traveling .22 Bullseye league competes Wednesday evenings at 7 PM. Summer non-traveling league shoots Mondays at 7 PM. Low scores don't affect team rankings—shooters compete against themselves to improve, making league accessible to new and experienced shooters alike.

MBSC prioritizes the next generation:

• •JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) teaches archery fundamentals, safety, and competition skills
• •Youth Rifle instruction covers gun safety, hunter safety, and marksmanship
• •Weekly youth rifle nights Wednesday evenings 6:30-8 PM during school year (Sept-May)

From the Bourne Bridge: Take the second exit onto MacArthur Boulevard, go approximately one mile, and take the first U-turn on the left through the divider. MBSC entrance is 280 feet ahead on the right, just before the Bourne Landfill. A paved road on the left leads to the main parking lot.
