Sheridan Arms teaches Michigan Concealed Pistol License courses under respected, nationally-recognized training organizations. Classes are held monthly minimum and cover firearm safety, ammunition selection, Michigan and multi-state self-defense laws, and extended range drills.
Key differences from standard CPL courses: - One-on-one instruction in small groups (not "cattle-boat" style) - Indoor range provides safe, controlled learning environment - Lifetime free renewals included in $150 course price - Private classes available for up to 5 people ($750) or larger groups - Instructors: Phil Sheridan (senior), Rob Jackson, Adam Turek, Joaquin Guerrero
Upon completion, students receive a certificate to take to their county clerk's office for CPL application.
CPL Refresher classes are $35 and held most Wednesdays at 10am and Saturdays at 12pm. Free for graduates of their full CCW/CPL course.
Advanced Tactical Pistol (ATP) courses prepare CPL holders for real-world combative handgun scenarios. These address home defense, parking lot encounters, and situations requiring immediate tactical response.

Prerequisites & Requirements: - Must have valid CPL or have just completed CPL class - Reliable handgun + 3 magazines minimum - 400-500 rounds of ammunition - Quality holster (duty or concealment) - Magazine holster - Eye and ear protection - Snap caps for training - Backup gun optional for ATP01/ATP02, required for ATP03
Completion of both pistol and rifle courses authorizes access to FieldEx events.
$125 course includes books, range time, and NRA certification. Covers firearm safety, ammunition fundamentals, shooting positions, storage/care, and range instruction focused on safety and accuracy. Designed for new shooters and those looking to build foundational skills.
$150 course covers AR-15, AK-47, and modern tactical rifles. Instruction includes: - Function and operation of modern platforms - Close-quarters combat (CQC) techniques - Proper handling for safety and accuracy - Taught by certified instructors with real-world experience
11 lanes, 15 yards shooting length
The range features Total Containment System backstop technology with 5 lanes rated for rifle caliber. Multi-filtered exhaust system and constant fresh air supply create the cleanest possible shooting environment. State-of-the-art target system uses "ManCom" Touch N Go keypad activation for user-friendly, precise target control.
Hours: - Monday-Thursday: 10am-6pm (Closed Tuesdays Memorial Day-Labor Day) - Friday: 10am-7pm - Saturday: 10am-6pm - Sunday: 12pm-6pm - Last shooters must finish 45 minutes before closing
Standard Rentals: - Pistol: $10 + range time + house ammo (age 21+) - Rifle: $15 + range time + house ammo (age 18+) - Full-Auto: $150 with direct RSO/instructor supervision
