COLSC's trap and skeet facilities feature some of the most modern equipment in the area. They're open to the public every Thursday (6pm-8pm) and Sunday (1pm-3pm).
Member Pricing: - Season pass (unlimited rounds): $250 - Ten-round card: $60 - Per round: $8.00
Non-Member Pricing: - Per round: $10.00
Youth Rates (ages 10-18): - First 2 rounds FREE (with paying adult) - Additional rounds: $3.00
Beginners are welcome. Staff will answer questions without judgment—safety is taken seriously at COLSC, and minor corrections happen immediately.
COLSC hosts the Badwater Longhorns, a monthly cowboy action shooting match through the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS). Matches run May through October (no September shoot).

The club maintains an outstanding 8-bay pistol area that historically hosted organized USPSA/IPSC action shooting. While formal organized matches are not scheduled for 2025, the facility remains available for member use and private events. The club previously attracted 40+ shooters monthly during peak season.
Current Status: COLSC is actively seeking an experienced pistol enthusiast to run match direction and organize shoots. Contact the board for details.
COLSC operates an outdoor archery range with new bag targets ready for crossbow use. The club partners with Bellaire Youth Initiative (BYI) to sponsor youth shooting sports through COLYSO, its 501(c)(3) organization. They host archery shoots in 2025 and actively promote youth involvement.
COLSC arranges private shoots for groups of 5-20 shooters at all venues. Your group brings safe firearms, ammo, eye and ear protection. For trap and skeet, shot size must be 7.5-9. Any legal Michigan firearm works at the ranges.
In town for the weekend? Contact COLSC in advance and they'll arrange equipment rental and shotshells for Thursday/Sunday public events.
New gun owners can access hunter safety courses, CPL (Concealed Carry License) training, and other firearms education programs through member connections and partnerships.

COLSC takes safety seriously. All facilities are staffed by member-volunteers. The club reserves the right to end sessions early due to weather or low turnout, and can rescind privileges for safety violations. If you're unfamiliar with any shooting sport, ask for help—staff will not judge you.

COLSC partners with Bellaire Youth Initiative and maintains a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (COLYSO) for tax-deductible donations supporting youth shooting sports. The club previously held fundraiser matches, including a 2023 event that raised $902 for Help From My Friends Pet Crisis Center.
