Beaverbrook Tri-County Sportsmen's Club operates a full-service shooting facility for members in Minnesota. The club maintains nine trap fields equipped with Pat-Traps and voice callers, one dedicated skeet field, and multiple rifle and pistol ranges.
Rifle and pistol shooters have access to: - Two 110-meter (120-yard) ten-position ranges with covered benches - One 200-yard eight-position range with covered benches - Six multi-purpose shooting bays (two 30m × 50m, four 15m × 30m) - Archery range with six butts at varying distances
Members also get use of a clubhouse, covered pavilion near trap fields, and a heated building year-round.
2025-2026 Sunday Winter Trap League - Individual format (no team required) — 18 rounds - Dates: November 2 through March 15 - Shooting window: 11:00am–4:00pm - Cost: $12 per round - Banquet: March 22nd
2026 Tuesday & Wednesday Summer Leagues - Teams up to 10 members, best five scores used weekly - Tuesday format: ATA-style classes, progressive yardage (16 to 20 yards) - Wednesday format: Individual handicap system with two tiers - Shooting starts: 5:30pm both nights - Season: April 7–8 through 20 weeks - Banquet included: August 25–26 - Captain's meetings: March 10–11 at 7:00pm
Fall League Option - 50-bird format with incremental yardage - September 3 for 8 weeks - Banquet: October 29th
Tuesday night informal leagues run May 5–July 28: - .22 Pistol: Slow, timed, rapid fire at 25 yards; classified after first weeks - .22 Rifle: 50 and 100-yard targets; classified by skill level - Hours: 3:30pm–6:30pm
Who Can Join - General membership: 18+ years old - Family privileges: Spouse, children, siblings, and grandchildren under 21 included - Current annual dues: $240/year (January 1 start date) - One-time processing fee: $100 (non-refundable) - Work-credit discount: $120 off renewal for 10 hours of volunteer work
Family members don't have voting rights and can't use facilities without a regular member present, but they receive full member discounts on trap and range use.
Membership Application Process - Applications accepted January 1–31 online only - Random drawing held if applications exceed open positions - Selected members pay $100 processing fee (7-day window) - Orientation class required (includes facility tour) - Proof required: Valid CCW permit, Permit to Acquire, or Law Enforcement ID - Final dues payment ($240) completes membership
The club operates at near membership capacity. New positions are determined February 1st each year. No waiting lists maintained.
Required Compliance - Membership card swipe at gate (entering AND leaving) - Sign-in at range building before shooting - Bring membership badge and vehicle license plate number - Sign-out when finished - No alcohol or intoxicating substances before shooting - Obey all RSO (Range Safety Officer) instructions without question
Equipment Restrictions - BANNED: Sig Sauer P320, M17, M18 pistols (effective immediately, under review) - Bump stocks, binary triggers, and bi-phase triggers allowed on rifle ranges only - Target frames must be wood or permeable plastic (steel removed from W1–S4 ranges due to safety) - Bring your own target frames; club may have wood frames available with $10 deposit - Steel targets, dueling trees, spinners: RSO approval required - Ground targets: Not permitted
Enforcement Policy > "You screw-up once we turn off your card until you talk to us, screw-up again and you will face possible losing your membership. We cannot, and will not, tolerate unsafe behavior."
Beaverbrook hosts outside organizations including: - Boy Scouts - 4H clubs - Pheasants Forever - High School Trap Teams - DNR Firearms Safety Instructor groups - Twin Cities Muzzleloaders - Local, state, and federal law enforcement (training)
Members can earn work credits toward renewal discounts:
Seasonal Tasks - Trap field bench and picnic table repair/staining - Painting trap field lane markers - Edging trap fields - Weed-whipping around clubhouse and trap areas - Patterning board cleanup
One-Time Projects - Clubhouse door closer installation - Trap house waterproofing - East door threshold replacement - Railing sanding, staining, poly work
Range Safety - NRA RSO volunteers needed (submit current cert/wallet card) - Non-RSO range building monitors (training provided)
The Range Expansion Committee is actively seeking member input on potential projects: - Five Stand shooting format - 3D archery course - New clubhouse with indoor archery and air gun range - Additional facilities and amenities
