Lozeau Lobos is a Cowboy Action Shooting division of the Mineral County Shooting Sports Association (MCSSA) located in Superior, Montana. This dynamic shooting club specializes in cowboy-style competitive shooting events that celebrate Old West traditions while emphasizing modern safety standards.
Cowboy Action Shooting Matches are held monthly throughout the year, featuring competitions where shooters use period-appropriate firearms and gear. Participants engage in timed shooting scenarios that test accuracy and speed across various stages.
Matches are held on a consistent monthly schedule: - February 22 | March 29 | April 26 | May 24 | June 28 | July 26 | August 30 | September 27 | October 25 | November 29
Setup begins at 8:30 AM with a mandatory safety meeting at 9:30 AM. This structured approach ensures all participants understand range procedures before competition begins.
Lozeau Lobos is part of the broader MCSSA organization, which also operates the main rifle range, muzzleloader events, and youth 4-H shooting sports programs. Membership in MCSSA provides discounted match fees and access to additional range facilities.
