Full description and what we offer
A&M Armory is a home-based FFL dealer operating out of Nebo in Burke County, North Carolina. Owner Alan Mainer runs a no-frills online operation focused on getting you what you need at wholesale prices—whether that's a new handgun, rifle, shotgun, ammunition, or AR-15 build parts.
- •Handguns include SAR9 series pistols, Glock models, Springfield Hellcats, Ruger RXMs, Rock Island 1911s, and BCA Grizzly compacts. New and used options available with prices typically $345–$675.
- •Rifles span AR-15 builds (5.56, .300 Blackout, 6.5 Creedmoor variants), Winchester Model 70s, Browning X-Bolts, muzzleloaders, and used milsurp like Marlin 336s and Norinco SKS rifles. Prices from $230 (muzzleloader) to $1,875 (precision long-range builds).
- •Shotguns range from budget Rock Island Meriva pumps ($229) to specialty builds like the Kel-Tec KSG bullpup ($689.99). Stock includes youth models, semi-autos, and tactical configurations.
- •Ammunition carries major brands: PMC, Barnes, Hornady, Sierra, CCI, Fiocchi, Magtech. Limited to reasonable pricing due to dealer relationships—ammo doesn't ship directly to you but Mainer sources from dealers with reserved stock. Current availability is selective (ammo prices remain at 2012+ highs).
- •Accessories include AR-15 parts, magazines (Magpul, AK drum mags, Glock drums), bore sights, tactical lights, bipods, and storage solutions.
- •FFL Transfer Service: Have firearms shipped to A&M Armory from anywhere. Cost is $15 per ATF Form 4473 and NICS background check—one charge covers up to 3 guns. Mainer handles all paperwork.
- •Lay-Away Plan: Can't afford it all at once? Put down 20%, split the rest into 3 equal payments. Helps with rising ammunition and firearm costs.
- •Price Matching: Mainer taps wholesale dealer networks across the country to match or beat prices. All prices are plus North Carolina sales tax (add 2% for card payments).
- •Background Checks: NICS checks are no charge for in-house gun purchases. Must have a Concealed Carry Permit or pass FBI background check—no exceptions.
"A criminal doesn't fear government, police, or jail time. He only fears another person with a gun."
Mainer operates lean with low overhead as a home-based dealer, which means savings passed to customers. Straightforward, no-BS approach: he stocks what sells, sources what's available, and doesn't ask customers to do anything outside the law.
