Miamisburg Sportsman's Club

Since 1947, Miamisburg Sportsmen's Club has operated as a private social club dedicated to shooting sports, outdoor recreation, and conservation. Located at 6300 South Union Road in Miamisburg, Ohio, the club sits just north of Dayton and serves shooters across southwest Ohio.

Unlike public ranges, MSC is member-driven. The club requires members to complete two mandatory work parties during their first year and expects active participation in club maintenance and range operations. This structure keeps the facilities sharp—as members recently proved with a November 2025 range cleanup that club leadership called "the fastest, smoothest, and most efficient" in recent memory.

The club operates eight distinct shooting areas:

Membership isn't a simple purchase—it's a commitment:

"MSC is a Private Social Club that has gun ranges, not a gun range. As a result of being a Social Club, you have obligations to meet to remain a member of the club."

To join, you need: - Two active, non-probationary member sponsors - Completion of two work parties in your first year - Good standing and active participation - To maintain membership, you stay involved

The club maintains strict safety protocols:

• •Sig P320 prohibition – As of July 2021, all P320 variants (including M17/M18) are banned from club grounds due to documented safety concerns with multiple law enforcement agencies
• •Action Pistol Range training is mandatory – Dynamic shooting requires pre-registration and safety certification
• •Safety violations result in suspension – Unsafe handling leads to mandatory retraining before reinstatement
