Mars Rod & Gun Club sits on 205 Gun Club Lane in Mars, PA 16046, spanning Forward Township and Adams Township. The club has operated for nearly 70 years as a members-only facility with multiple shooting disciplines on the property.
The club maintains separate ranges for: - Trap shooting - SnoBall League runs Tuesday nights through March ($14/50 birds, juniors $9/50 birds). Public trap practice every Tuesday 5-8pm. Saturday leagues also available. - Black Powder League - Every Saturday from January through February with breakfast and safety meeting at 8am, shooting at 9am. Contact Mark Caudill at 724-355-0727. - Pistol ranges - Bill's Pistol Shoot events plus regular range access - Rifle ranges - 22 LR precision events and general rifle shooting - Archery - Dedicated archery events and practice
Public Access Available: Tuesday trap practice (5-8pm) is open to anyone, no membership required. All other events listed below require membership, though some are open to the public.
The club hosts several Pennsylvania Game Commission and NRA programs: - Pennsylvania Game Commission Hunter-Trapper Education courses - Scouts of America Merit Badge programs - NRA Women on Target events (WOT program coordinator: Julie McClelland) - NRA Instructor Shotgun Shooting Course - multi-day training to become NRA Certified Shotgun Instructor - Concealed Carry Seminar - periodic seminars covering licensing, permits (LTC), state and federal restrictions
The membership includes NRA-certified instructors in rifle, pistol, and shotgun disciplines.

Mars Rod & Gun Club maintains active memberships with: - National Rifle Association (NRA) - Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) - Pennsylvania Federation of Sportsmen & Conservationists (PFSC) - Pennsylvania Wildlife Federation - Amateur Trap Association (ATA) for trap shooting
Regular Membership Options: - Regular Member: $175/year (with access card), $75/year (without) - prorated quarterly - Family Membership: $210/year (with card), $110/year (without) - includes spouse/significant other, college-age member, plus two juniors up to age 17 - Senior Member: $135/year (age 65+ after 3 years as Regular member) - Junior Member: Under age 17 - Associate Member: $135/year - Military: Free or reduced (details on website)
Membership runs January 1 - December 31 each calendar year. Members are responsible for ensuring dues are paid by December 31; a penalty fee applies for payments after January 1.
