White Oak Rod and Gun Club has operated since 1946 as a non-profit 501(c)(7) corporation dedicated to teaching sportsmanship, conservation, and safe firearm handling. Built on 76 acres in the McKeesport area of Pennsylvania, the club provides a working shooting facility with multiple disciplines and active youth programs.
Shotgun Sports: - Three trap fields (one lighted with voice release) - One lighted skeet field - Five-stand course with 8 different target presentations
Rifle & Pistol: - Rifle range with 50, 100, and 200 yard targets (outdoor and covered) - Handgun range with 15, 25, and 75 yard targets (outdoor, covered, and lighted)
Other Facilities: - Indoor 50-foot range in clubhouse - Outdoor covered pavilion (seats 80 people) - Meeting room and kitchen
Three shotgun disciplines open to the public Tuesday and Thursday starting at 7pm:

No experience required. Come shoot clay targets and meet other shooters in the area.
The club runs a fully funded youth shotgun program for ages 10-18. Offered three times per year (June, July, August) with 4-week sessions on Thursdays 6:00-7:30pm.
What's included: - NRA-certified instruction (all volunteer teachers) - Shotguns, ammunition, and clay targets - Safety training and eye/ear protection - Zero cost to students or parents

Students learn trap shooting—one of the oldest clay target sports—and by week four they're breaking birds consistently.

The club is member-run with an elected board of directors.
Costs: - $100 initiation fee (first year only) - $75 annual membership fee - $175 total first year / $75 per year thereafter
Requirements: - Proof of NRA membership required - One-year probation period for new members - Three work days per year OR $20 per day buyout - Membership meetings first Monday of each month at 7:30pm
Members serve on committees that manage specific areas:
1. Financial - Oversee club finances and fundraising 2. Buildings and Maintenance - Maintain clubhouse and mechanical systems 3. Grounds, Roads, and Equipment - Maintain property and equipment 4. Shotgun Sports - Run trap, skeet, 5-stand events and equipment upkeep 5. Rifle, Pistol, Archery - Maintain ranges, schedule CMP matches, pin leagues, 3-D archery, black powder shoots 6. Social Events - Organize annual game dinner, NRA Youth Day, flea market
Members can bring: - Spouses, juniors, and grandchildren anytime - One adult guest up to three times per season - Guests must be accompanied by member at all times
After three visits, guests are encouraged to join as members.
