Mid Carolina Gun Club operates as a private member-owned facility on a well-maintained 113-acre property in Calhoun County, about 2.5 miles off I-26 and 30 minutes from the Greater Columbia and Lexington areas. Members enjoy 24/7 gate access to shoot whenever it's convenient.
Rifle & Pistol - 300-yard rifle range - 25-yard lighted pistol range - Night shooting available - No charge for rifle or pistol use - Club provides some rests and spotting scopes
Clay Target Shooting - 4 trap fields (4 lighted) with PAT traps - Wobble trap capability - 5 skeet fields (3 lighted) - Sporting clays - 5-stand with wireless pulling and covered stations - Rate: $4/round for members and guests on trap/skeet/5-stand; $8 for sporting clays
All clay machines use modern voice release systems with no human pullers needed.
The club hosts sanctioned competitions throughout the year including NRA Highpower, ARA .22 Benchrest, NRA Pistol, Sporting Clays, and Big 50 trap events. Check their calendar for schedules.
Mid Carolina's 4H Shooting Sports program is recognized as one of the best in the state. The club was 2014 SCTP National Champions (Sr. Boys Overall, Skeet Doubles Open, Sporting Clays Open). Youth shoot 4H, SCTP, SC DNR, and SCYSF events with instruction from certified coaches.
Membership Structure - One-time initiation: $550 (includes first-year dues) - Annual dues after year one: $250 ($200 if you complete a workday) - Open to US citizens who can legally possess a firearm - Requires sponsorship from current member - Monthly business meetings held 2nd Tuesday at 6:30 PM (guests welcome, dinner follows)
RV Park Full-hookup RV park with 50-amp power, water, sewer, and pull-through sites in wooded setting. Reservations suggested.
