Texas State Rifle Association

Founded in 1919, the Texas State Rifle Association (TSRA) is one of the oldest and most active shooting sports organizations in the state. Headquartered in Bastrop, Texas, TSRA represents tens of thousands of members across all of Texas who share a common mission: protecting the rights of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms.

TSRA operates on three core pillars:

Members can track match results through TSRA's archives and compete at the TSRA Annual Meeting and other sanctioned events throughout the year.

• •Legislative Advocacy — TSRA maintains a full-time legislative team in Austin (operational since 1981) that defends Second Amendment rights. The organization has successfully championed major legislation including Constitutional Carry (HB 1927, 2021), Second Amendment Sanctuary status (HB 2622), and numerous bills protecting the rights of License to Carry holders.
