This archive documents the complete competition results from the 2010 Huntsman World Senior Games cowboy action shooting side matches held in Nevada. The event featured multiple shooting disciplines and categories, drawing competitors from across the western United States.
The 2010 side matches included:
Traditional Disciplines - Wild Bunch side match — 1911 pistols, 1897 shotguns, and lever action rifles across 3 stages with both Modern and Traditional (one-handed pistol) categories - Plains Event — Cap & ball pistols, single shot rifles, and side-by-side shotguns using black powder - Long Range Single Shot Buffalo Rifle — Both smokeless and black powder divisions
Speed Events - Speed Shotgun (1887 Lever, side-by-side, 1897 pump) - Speed Rifle and Speed .22 Rifle - Speed Pistol and Speed .22 Pistol - Pocket Pistol and Derringer - Shotgun Challenge (12 targets with flyers and knockdowns) - Long Range Rifle and Pistol events
Each event featured Gold, Silver, and Bronze placings, with competitor names, aliases, hometowns, and times/hit counts recorded. Several events included "Bought It Awards" recognizing standout performances.
Winners came from multiple western states including Utah, Oregon, California, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, New Mexico, and Maine. Eloise Pearce (alias: Belinda Belle) from Nampa, ID, and Joann Namer (alias: Lefty Jo) from Grand Junction, CO, were among the top women competitors across multiple events.
Ralph Butler (alias: Twelve Mile Reb) from Layton, UT dominated multiple speed events, winning the Speed Rifle, claiming the fastest Speed Pistol time, and dominating the Shotgun Challenge with a 12-hit perfect score. Russell Siverling (alias: Rick O'Shea) from Sammamish, WA competed successfully across long-range disciplines and speed .22 events.
Women's competition was robust across all categories, from traditional one-handed pistol shooting to long-range rifle and high-speed shotgun challenges.
