Shooters Gauntlet

Chuck Lehnert's Shooters Gauntlet operates from Monroeton, PA as a full-service training facility run by an NRA-appointed Training Counselor with 28+ years of professional experience. Before becoming a full-time trainer and CEO of the Personal Protection Institute, Lehnert worked in executive protection and security for over a decade.

Lehnert co-developed the NRA Advanced Defensive Pistol Program alongside three other experienced NRA instructors and the NRA Training Staff. His certifications include:

• •Law Enforcement Armorer: Colt 1911, AR-15, M16/M4 rifles/carbines/sub-machine guns, Smith & Wesson M&P
• •Chief Range Safety Officer (CRSO) and RSO Trainer
• •Certified Protection Specialist and ASP Trainer
• •BlackHawk Tactical Serpa certification
• •National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association Training Counselor
• •NRA Coach-Instructor (co-authored program)

Lehnert has been one of the NRA's top membership recruiters for the past 10 years and holds NRA Benefactor Life Member status, plus Charter Member of the NRA Ring of Freedom.

Lehnert competed in the ANJRPC Cherry Ridge High Power League for eight years with a classic M-1 Garand (iron sights), achieving Sharpshooter rank. He later competed with civilian AR-15s and earned Rifle Master Marksman ranking. His shooting qualification history includes perfect 300-score performances at 7, 25, 15, and 25-yard distances.

Shoots Gauntlet hosts machine gun shoots, training events, and offers range rental. The operation includes youth instruction (BSA Merit Badge Counselor), women's shooting days, and minority outreach programs. Lehnert's wife, Luann, is also an NRA Certified Instructor and NRA Life Member.
