Full description and what we offer
Black Diamond Gun Club has operated continuously since February 12, 1940, when charter members first gathered in a real estate office on Airport Way. What started as Georgetown Rod & Gun Club has evolved into a 135-acre facility on Enumclaw Black Diamond Road, 1.6 miles south of Black Diamond and just north of Rainier National Park.
The club is entirely volunteer-run. Safety is non-negotiable—all shooters read range rules, complete a digital waiver (recommended online before arrival), and follow strict RSO-supervised operations.
9 covered bays for handgun shooting. Some calibers are restricted on the pistol range (including .357 Remington Max, .44 Magnum, .460 S&W, .475 Linebaugh, .480 Ruger, .500 S&W, .50 Action Express, and any SIG SAUER P320). Those larger magnums move to the 100-yard rifle range at RSO discretion.
15 recently upgraded concrete-top shooting benches with adjustable-height stools. Rifles of any caliber welcome, plus shotguns with slugs or buckshot, and overflow from the pistol range. The 2024 upgrade included ADA-compliant spacing (36" gap between benches 2 and 3 for wheelchair access), new stainless steel target markers, and controlled access via a side entrance with hallway.
Members only, with RSO qualification required. Ranges unavailable during trap shooting hours. Action Shooting Group (meets Thursday evenings) is the only organization allowed to draw from holsters on club grounds.
5 trap fields with overhead lighting for night shooting. All trap houses contain automatic Beomat trap machines equipped with voice-activated pullers. Each machine throws both American and Continental trap; houses one and two also throw Doubles. Shotgun loads #7½ through #9, lead shot only.
4 covered bays with 7 targets from 15 to 65 yards. Daytime hours only. No broadheads or crossbows. $5 donation requested from non-members. Firearms strictly prohibited.
Clubhouse Hours: - Wednesday: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM - Saturday: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM - Second & Fourth Sunday: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Ranges operate only when an RSO is present. All RSO schedules posted on the club calendar. First-come, first-served availability—no reservations accepted.
