Established in 1929, the Bainbridge Island Sportsmen's Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit membership organization dedicated to providing recreational shooting sports, fishing instruction, and community activities for sportsmen, women, families, and the Bainbridge Island community. The club is operated and maintained entirely by dedicated volunteers from its membership.
The club operates multiple specialized ranges:
- •Archery Range - Multi-range targets extending to 90 yards with covered shooting areas. Adaptive archers are welcome.
- •3D Archery Range - Realistic hunting simulation course
- •Pistol/Pistol Caliber Rifle Range - 25-yard covered firing line accepting rifles firing pistol caliber cartridges
- •Shotgun Trap & Five-Stand Range - Mobile covers available for weather protection
- •Night Shooting - Lighted ranges allow evening and night shooting sessions
The club offers professional training and instruction programs for all skill levels:
- •Archery Programs - Including JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) youth programs
- •Shotgun Sports - Trap and five-stand instruction
- •Handgun & Pistol Caliber Rifle - Beginner through advanced courses
- •Fly Casting Instruction - For anglers of all abilities
BISC actively hosts private events, competitions, and community activities. Regular events include women's shooting days, night shoots, and shooting competitions.
The club operates as a membership-based organization. Prospective members can apply for membership through the club's membership application process.
