Otto Road Shooting Range

Otto Road Shooting Range operates as a closed facility for members only, located on Otto Road west of Cheyenne, Wyoming. The range is open 365 days a year from official sunrise to sunset, weather permitting. This is serious shooter infrastructure—built for competition and precision work, not casual walk-ups.

The facility features 26 shooting bays ranging from 35 to 100 yards, all equipped with berms. Specialized bay layouts include:

• •Pistol-only bays (21-25) with steel targets
• •Dedicated .22 rifle bay with knock-down targets
• •Combined .22 rifle/pistol bay with knock-down targets
• •Long-range area extending to 1000 yards with covered shooting benches and a shooting house
• •Shotgun area with 4 bird throwers
• •Archery-only bay (20) — no broadheads allowed

Targets and target stands are available for donation at the long-range area, West Pavilion, Bay 10, and Bay 20.

The range hosts NRA-sanctioned events throughout the year:

All regularly scheduled events are open to public participation (non-members must pay per-event). You must have a paid membership to shoot outside of sanctioned events.

Individual Membership - First Year: $150 (paid online before orientation) - Annual Renewal: $115 if paid on time; $125 after 10-day grace period - 6+ Months Late: $150 (restarts as new member)

Family Membership - First Year: $250 (paid online before orientation) - Annual Renewal: $200 if paid on time; $225 after 10-day grace period - 6+ Months Late: $250 (restarts as new member)

Lifetime Membership - One-time payment: $1,200 (contact for details)

To join, you must be: - U.S. citizen - 21 years of age or older - Complete application/waiver form - Complete orientation session - Pay membership fee before attending orientation

Orientations are not required if you're over 3 years late on renewal (unless over 3 years lapsed).

Office Hours: - Tuesday: 9 AM–1 PM - Thursday: 1 PM–5:30 PM - Friday: 9 AM–4 PM - Saturday: 8 AM–2 PM - Closed: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday - Closed most holidays

Strict adherence to range rules is required. Key points:

• •Eye and ear protection mandatory in fenced area
• •All guests must sign waivers; one adult guest per member allowed
• •No shooting over berms, backstops, or outside bay rear limits
• •Firearms unloaded during cease-fire; all actions open and cleared
• •Only one firearm with matching ammunition on bench at a time
• •No tracers, explosives, 50-BMG or larger calibers
• •No glass of any kind on range
• •.22 bays restricted to .22 short, long, or long rifle (no magnums or .17s)
• •Long-range shooting only from range house or covered firing line
• •$10 replacement fee for lost/broken key cards
• •Violation of range rules may result in immediate removal and membership revocation

The range enforces all standard NRA gun handling rules, including keeping guns pointed in safe direction, finger off trigger until ready to shoot, and action open/unloaded until ready to use.

One adult guest per member is allowed on-range. Additional guests require a signed guest waiver. Any children under 21 living in the same household may use the facility. All minors must be supervised by a responsible adult. Members are responsible for guest conduct and behavior.

The range recognizes sponsors including David Haid, Nick Fuerst (Bandit), Thunder Beast Arms, Western Wildlife Creations (David Hrabovsky), Zachary Manley, and Twin Trees Signs. Stag Arms is a featured sponsor of the PURSUIT bolt-action rifle.

Gun transfers are available through Nana's and Papa's Gun Shop, which offers a discount for ORSR members.
