Sheridan County Sportsmen's Association (SCSA) operates a multi-discipline shooting facility on 89 Keystone Road in Sheridan, Wyoming. This isn't a one-range operation—SCSA maintains nine separate facilities designed for different shooting disciplines, all accessible to members and day-pass holders.
Specialized Facilities - Pistol Pit Complex (dedicated pistol stages) - Indoor Range (year-round, weather-independent shooting) - Trap Range (clay bird shooting) - Skeet Range (skeet and 5-Stand) - Buffalo Gun Range (silhouette shooting) - Archery Range (dedicated bow shooting) - Muzzleloader Range (black powder firearms)

Match schedules change monthly. Check the SCSA Calendar before heading out—ranges may be closed for P.R.O. or WPR events.
Women's Activities (Director: Sam Bretthauer) SCSA's dedicated Women's Activities program introduces women to shooting sports in a welcoming environment. The program: - Offers NRA certification classes (rifle, shotgun, pistol) - Supports NRA Women On Target (WOT) seminars—women-only instructional clinics covering firearm safety and marksmanship fundamentals - Pairs new shooters with experienced female members - Focuses on personal defense, recreational, and competition shooting
Youth Activities (Director: Jeff Hinton) Young shooters have dedicated programming and mentorship opportunities through SCSA's juniors program.
Two ways to shoot: - Members: Full facility access, participation in club matches and events - Day Pass Holders: Access to general use ranges (open dawn to dusk, 365 days)
Members also receive: - Event discounts and match participation - Voice in club governance through annual meeting - Free dinner at annual meeting
SCSA prioritizes safety. All users must: - Read and understand SCSA Rules and Regulations before using facilities - Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) specific to each range type - Familiarize themselves with NRA gun safety rules - Demonstrate safe, sportsman-like conduct
Detailed SOPs exist for: - General Use Rifle and Pistol Ranges (including forward shooting) - Indoor Range - Pistol Pit Complex (including forward shooting) - Long Range Rifle - Buffalo Gun - Trap Range - Skeet and 5-Stand - Archery Range
SCSA is governed by an active Executive Committee with dedicated directors for each discipline: Archery, Black Powder, General Use Ranges, Juniors/Youth, Long Range Rifle, Pistol, Silhouette/Buffalo Gun, Skeet, Smallbore, Trap, and Women's Activities.
Executive Committee Meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month at 7 PM at the SCSA Clubhouse (January varies). Meetings are open to all members.
