The Chippewa County Shooting Association (CCSA) is a member-based shooting club located in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, serving the Upper Peninsula community since its founding in 1968. As a well-established shooting organization, CCSA provides a comprehensive range facility with multiple disciplines and educational opportunities for firearm enthusiasts of all skill levels.
CCSA offers diverse shooting activities including:
The range features an Upper Range Clubhouse, 200-yard rifle range, trap shooting range, classroom facilities for safety training, and adequate parking. Monthly meeting spaces are available for club members.
CCSA operates as a members-only facility for most activities. Individual memberships are $55 annually (as of January 1, 2026), family memberships are $75, and student/junior memberships are $35. Online membership applications are available for individual and family memberships.
The club offers CPL (Concealed Pistol License) classes with classroom facilities dedicated to safety instruction. Hunter safety classes are also available. CPL classes require advance registration with minimum 6 and maximum 12 participants.
CCSA hosts the CCSA Gun Show (spring and winter events at LSSU Norris Center) and maintains an active monthly meeting schedule. The club also shares resources about opioid overdose awareness, including information about Narcan availability.
