Location details and information
Starkville Gun Club operates as a private members-only facility with no public walk-up hours. Located at 2125 Sixteen Section Road in Starkville, the club requires membership to access any of its shooting ranges.
New member orientation briefings happen on 1st and 3rd Thursdays at 6:30 PM. Plan for at least one hour. Attendance is not required to join—if you attend a briefing, you won't need to return for another year and can pay dues anytime afterward.
Annual membership dues are $200.00 (cash or check only—no cards). Runs 1 year from payment date with no proration.
If you can't attend a Thursday briefing, alternative times can be arranged case-by-case. Check the calendar at starkvillegunclub.org before heading out, as holiday dates may be cancelled.
Annual Membership includes: - Open family access to rifle and pistol ranges - Access to rimfire outdoor range (10 lanes) - Daylight hours only (Sunrise to Sunset) - Clubhouse access with restrooms - Ability to bring guests (members responsible for guests) - RFID membership cards required for range access
Not included in annual membership—shotgun members buy clay target cards.
Initial Clay Target Card: $80.00 for first 500 targets (20 rounds of 25 targets) or $4.00 per round
Shotgun member access: Open access to skeet and trap ranges during daylight hours
Annual member access: Can shoot when a shotgun member has the range open, pay $5.00 per round
Guests: $6.00 per round when shotgun member has range open
Required to shoot clay targets. Gets you a TargetTag Card assignment.

Sporting Clays: - Follows NSCA rules - Max 1⅛ oz shot payload
Every member is a safety officer. Call cease fire immediately if you see an unsafe act or anything downrange. Infractions of club rules may result in membership termination.

Getting There: - From Starkville: Take US 182 East through Clayton Village - Turn Left (North) on 16 Section Road (about 1 mile after highway becomes 2-lane, TVA Substation on left at intersection) - Go 2 miles straight through 4-way stop (Old West Point Road intersection) - Go 2 more miles straight through 3-way stop (Adams Lane). Gate is a lighted driveway on left, set back about 75 yards past stop, with blue Clayton Village Water Tower visible on right - Drive back to tan clubhouse on right at first parking area - Don't trust GPS—use directions above
