Blueprintedfirearms is a gunsmithing operation focused on custom rifle builds and precision work. Owner Drew started the company in 2020 after competing in the Precision Rifle Series and building rifles for friends until the requests became frequent enough to get his FFL. He's completed Gordy Gritters "Extreme Accuracy Institute" Precision Rifle Building Class and brings 15+ years of shooting, reloading, and competition experience to every project.

Drew's path wasn't typical. He grew up around a family machine shop, which instilled an obsession with precision. His first rifle was a .308 Win Remington 700 that he tinkered with relentlessly on a Hornady Classic reloading press until it shot one-hole groups. That led to USPSA and 3-Gun competitions, then the Marine Corps in 2011. While serving, he shot with the Marine Corps Shooting Team at the Australian Army Skills at Arms Meet in Puckapunyal. After returning home to North Carolina, settling into family life, and competing in the Precision Rifle Series, he decided to turn his obsession into a business.

All barrel work is performed through the headstock with bore dialed straight and true within .0001-.0002. Drew indicates the bore, pre-drills the chamber, then finishes dialing directly off the bore where the throat will be for ideal throat/bore/bullet alignment.

Customer supplied reamers accepted. For uncommon calibers, reamer rental charges may apply. He also offers 5R 284 Shehane throat builds.

Blueprintedfirearms builds "primitive" hunting rifles using smokeless muzzleloader platforms. These extend your range and improve hit probability during extended primitive seasons. The shop uses the Arrowhead Ignition System (breach plug and Large Rifle Magnum Primer Modules)—simple, accurate, and effective in the field.

Builds are available on existing actions or dedicated smokeless muzzleloader platforms like the Mack Brothers EVO II or Defiance Outcast. Savage 110s work well for conversions.
