Mount Joy Sportsmen Association operates a shooting sports facility that's open around the clock for pistol and rifle shooting. The indoor range recently upgraded its backstop to accommodate all pistol calibers using jacketed bullets—an important upgrade for shooters who want full caliber flexibility.
One membership unlocks access to multiple ranges and disciplines:

MJSA hosts structured competitions that range from beginner-friendly to competitive:

Juniors under 19 shoot pistol matches free, and youth rifle program participants don't need membership—that's rare.
MJSA recently installed Shotmarker electronic target system for highpower rifle matches. This replaces traditional paper targets with digital scoring, which means faster feedback and more efficient match management. They also ask shooters to bring charged tablets to matches—a sign they're investing in modern competition infrastructure.
The club runs dedicated youth programs separate from adult shooting. Their junior rifle season runs January through March (Saturdays, ages 12-20). Registration happens week 1-2 of the season. Pistol teams also welcome new shooters for practice sessions.
