"To encourage organized rifle, pistol and shotgun shooting among citizens of the United States resident in the community, with a view toward a better knowledge of the safe handling and proper care of firearms, as well as improved marksmanship."

The club emphasizes firearm collecting, proper handling, safety education, and the development of sportsmanship qualities including self-discipline, team play, and self-reliance.

The club maintains dedicated ranges for:

Rifle Shooting - 3-Position Small Bore Rifle - ABRA 22 Benchrest - High Power Rifle - Prone Smallbore Rifle - Vintage Rifle - NRL22 Monthly Match - Small Bore Rifle Silhouette Match - 300-yard rifle range (for NRL22 events)

Pistol Shooting - Bowling Pin matches (MP-3 bay) - Compact Pistol competitions - Glock/GSSF divisions - Steel Challenge - USPSA sanctioned events - Competition bays for private training

Shotgun - Bird Busters Sporting Clays Practice - Trap Field shooting

Cowboy Action Shooting - Dedicated cowboy action competition format

The club hosts organized matches throughout the year:

  • 2025 USPSA South Carolina Section Match - State-level competition
  • NRL22 Monthly Match - .22 rifle precision shooting (300-yard range)
  • Pistol Bowling Pin Match - Speed and accuracy competition
  • Small Bore Rifle Silhouette - Target silhouette shooting
  • NRA Qualifications - Standardized rifle qualification events
  • PCSL 2 Gun competitions
  • Monthly Member Dinner Meetings (typically 3rd Thursday, 6:30 PM)
  • Junior Olympic Training - Youth marksmanship development (Saturdays)

New member orientations are scheduled after the first Tuesday of each month, when the Executive Committee votes on applications.

Renewal Date: June 30 annually. Dues are prorated when members transition from probationary to full membership on their anniversary.

1. Complete online application - Requires CWP or SLED background check with photo ID and two current members as sponsors 2. Set up account and pay $500 - Initial fees paid electronically 3. Executive Committee vote - Voted on at the first Tuesday meeting each month (access cards activated after approval) 4. New Member Orientation - Required orientation scheduled after committee approval; access card issued at orientation 5. One-year probationary period - Members serve probationary status 6. Full membership vote - On the one-year anniversary, Executive Committee votes on full membership status

Prospective members without established sponsors can attend monthly member dinner meetings to meet current members and find sponsors. Alternate arrangements can be made by contacting the Executive Committee at [email protected] or calling the range manager at (864) 318-4383.

The 4 Fundamental Rules of Gun Safety are enforced:

1. Treat all guns as if they are loaded 2. Never point a firearm at anything you are not willing to kill or destroy 3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot 4. Be aware of your target and what is beyond

Personal Steel Targets: Members interested in using personal steel targets on club ranges must attend a new member orientation for a safety refresher and rule explanation.

Junior Marksmanship and Safety program offers youth training and Olympic-style competition development. Saturday morning training available.
