Northwest Texas Field & Stream Association started in 1928 and was chartered by the State of Texas in 1945 as a non-profit educational organization. Today they serve over 3,000 family members across the northwest Texas region, operating the Daume Marksmanship Range on Old Friberg Road in Wichita Falls.
The organization runs separate pistol, rifle, and shotgun clubs, each with its own competitive structure and training programs.
Started in 1985, the rifle program focuses on NRA High Power Rifle matches on a 100-yard range with reduced targets duplicating sight pictures at 200, 300, and 600 yards.

Notable Event: > The Don James Memorial, held first Saturday in July for over 25 years, honors military service and American freedoms. Free BBQ meal and awards follow the match.
