The National Firearms Institute (NFI) has been operating in Bremerton since the early 2000s, building a reputation for instruction that stays ahead of outdated materials and techniques. While many training centers teach the same old curriculum, NFI focuses on cutting-edge, practical information with hands-on exercises designed to actually stick.
NFI operates from the Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club range located at 4900 Seabeck Highway NW in Bremerton, WA. The facility spans 72 acres and features:
Directions: From I-5, take Highway 16/Bremerton exit. Follow Highway 16 to Bremerton, then Highway 3 North. Take the Kitsap Way exit, turn left at the light, follow Kitsap Way. Turn left on Northlake Way, then left onto Seabeck Highway. Range is 2.5 miles on the right.
NFI also maintains a Rapid Deployment Team (RDT) to provide instruction and range services at virtually any location.
Tactical courses are structured in progressive levels to build foundational skills:
Handgun Courses: - Level I: Fundamentals (nomenclature, safety, law, awareness, marksmanship, live fire) - $75/person ($25 additional for NFI firearms/ammo) - Level II: Field application (drawing, controlled pairs, shooting from cover, moving) - Level III: Moving targets and odd positions - Level IV: Low-light shooting, protection principles, active shooter response - Level V: Tactical Handgun Master certification - Retention courses available
Shotgun & Rifle: Same progressive structure for tactical shotgun and tactical rifle training.
Long-Range Rifle: Dedicated curriculum covering dragbag use, stress shooting, shooting from hides, moving while armed.
