Full description and what we offer

Monumental Rifle & Pistol Club traces back to the late 1940s when World War II veterans in the Baltimore area needed a place to shoot. Today, it's one of the original fifteen Charter member clubs of the Associated Gun Clubs of Baltimore (AGC), founded in 1948. That heritage means Monumental holds Board of Trustees voting status and governance over the entire AGC network—which now spans 25 member clubs and approximately 2,800 shooters across the region.

Recipient of the NRA Outstanding Club of 2010 national award and a NRA Gold Medal Club for 10+ consecutive years

Members access the AGC facility located on Marriottsville Road in northwest Baltimore County, just 3½ miles west of Liberty Road (Route 26) and about 1 mile east of Patapsco State Park's McKeldin Area.

The facility operates seven days a week — 8:00 AM to dusk weekdays, 9:00 AM to dusk weekends (weather permitting).

Members access facilities for both casual and competitive shooting in conventional pistol and centerfire pistol events.

Monumental actively develops youth shooters ages 16+, with a dedicated Juniors Officer and competitive opportunities at the club level.

  • Members Classifieds: Buy, sell, and trade firearms and shooting equipment
  • Officer Network: Active leadership structure including President, VP, Secretary, Treasurer, Club Instructor, and AGC Trustees

All new members receive range orientation covering strict Range Rules enforced throughout the facility—safety is non-negotiable across all AGC clubs.

Monumental isn't a commercial range or retail operation—it's a competitive shooting club with serious credentials. The NRA Gold Medal recognition reflects sustained excellence in safety, programming, and member development. Charter status in the AGC network means access to 60 acres of purpose-built facilities maintained specifically for precision rifle, pistol, and shotgun sports.
