Tusco Rifle Club has been operating since 1934, starting as a merger of three local rifle clubs and evolving into one of Ohio's most respected shooting facilities. What began in the basement of the Ohio Savings & Trust building in New Philadelphia has grown into a 360-acre complex hosting competitive matches almost every weekend.

Matches run practically every weekend from May through November, plus evening shoots. Open to the public with nominal fees:
Shoot directors provide firearms and equipment for first-time participants to try. No special gear required to get started.
The club emphasizes family participation and beginner instruction:
The Von Allman Youth Trust (funded by member donations) supports youth activities directly.

2008 NRA Club of the Year - Recognized for 150+ public matches annually, international silhouette competition, five youth event programs, two Women On Target clinics, and support for five law enforcement departments
Tusco has earned NRA Achievement Awards in most years since the awards began. The club has been affiliated with the NRA since 1934.
The facility is made available to: - Local, state, and federal law enforcement for training and qualification - Ohio Police & Fire Games (held bi-annually on Tusco ranges) - Buckeye Career Center law enforcement training programs
The club has produced numerous record-holders and national champions: - Kimberly Hobart: 7 national records (45 cal), 3 national records (22 cal), 5-time High Woman Overall National Champion, USA Mayleigh International Team Gold Medal (2002) - Tom Paumier: 1987 World Champion (Paralympics), multiple gold/bronze medals - Bill & Jill Caldwell: Shooting scholarship recipients to Xavier College, Olympic trial qualifiers - Sam Bond (founder): 1934 National Short Range Champion, perfect 400 world record (never broken)
