Strategic Edge Gun Range

Strategic Edge Gun Range operates as a hybrid facility: they run professional training and range services for U.S. Military, federal agencies, and law enforcement, but they also maintain a dedicated members-only shooting facility near Chapel Hill, Tennessee.

The range itself is purpose-built for real shooting conditions. Members get:

• •Centerfire rifle ranges: 100 to 1550 yards with steel and paper targets
• •Pistol bays: Static and tactical ranges up to 50 yards (three-sided autonomous design)
• •Carbine ranges: Tactical carbine bays extending to 75 yards
• •Rimfire range: Dedicated 22LR range, 25–300 yards
• •State-of-the-art Range Condition Alert System (RCAS): Proprietary safety technology that displays real-time range conditions

Unlike indoor ranges, their outdoor setup means members can practice draw strokes, tactical movement, and unconventional shooting positions—activities prohibited at most commercial facilities.

• •Annual membership: $300 individual (discounted rates for family members—spouse and children under 21)

Members and their guests access the range from sunrise to sunset, 7 days a week (closed for maintenance, events, classes, or matches—check calendar). All applicants undergo criminal and civil background checks plus mandatory safety training before approval. You get a custom ID card and gate/building code.

Strategic Edge offers both online videos and in-person classroom/range courses. Most are free to members; some have fees.

Online Videos (Free to Members) - Safety Orientation - Range Tour & Do's/Don'ts - Long-Range Qualifier - 50 BMG, Big Bore, and Over Bore Qualifier - Shooter Ballistics (2 hours) - Introduction to Long Range Shooting (2 hours)

Classroom Courses (Free to Members) - Trauma 1 (4 hours) – Basic trauma care, CPR, penetrating trauma recognition, Stop the Bleed - Trauma 2 (prerequisite: Trauma 1) – Advanced airway control, needle decompression, basic suturing - Precision Reloading Class ($150, 8 hours) – Load development, internal/external ballistics, hands-on reloading techniques

Carbine Courses (AR-15/M4 Primary)

• •Carbine I: Basic Short Rifle ($100, 8 hours) – Takedown, cleaning, sight adjustment, marksmanship, M4/AR-15 focus (SKS/AK platforms allowed)
• •Carbine II: Tactical Carbine ($200, 8 hours) – Prerequisite: Carbine I. CQC tactics, iron/tactical/holographic sights required

Precision Rifle Courses (Long-Range)

• •Precision Rifle I: Long Gun Fundamentals ($150, 8 hours) – Equipment assessment, fundamentals review, sight-in drills at 100 yards
• •Precision Rifle II: Exterior Ballistics in Practice ($300, 8 hours) – Prerequisites: Precision Rifle I + Shooter Ballistics video. Shooting 100–1250 yards, scope correction factors, 1st-round hits
• •Precision Rifle III: Advanced Long Range ($450, 10–12 hours) – Prerequisites: Precision Rifle II. Wind reading, hi/low angle shots, obstacle shooting, low-light conditions, 100–1250 yards
