Greenwood Gun Club

Greenwood Gun Club is a premier members-only shooting sports facility located in Brazoria, Texas, serving the Brazosport and Brazoria County communities since 1958. This 501(c)(7) non-profit organization offers comprehensive shooting sports programs including rifle, pistol, shotgun, archery, and black powder disciplines with regular competitions open to the public.

The club operates multiple specialized ranges and facilities:

• •High Power Rifle Range - 100-600 yard rifle range for precision shooting
• •Pistol Ranges - Including 25-yard berms for pistol competitions
• •Shotgun Range - Used by members and FFA training programs
• •Archery Facility - 30+ target 3D course operated by Brazoria County Bowmen, one of Texas's oldest archery clubs established in the 1950s
• •Black Powder & Silhouette Ranges - For traditional and silhouette shooting
• •Cowboy Action Range - "Fort Tyler" facility for cowboy action shooting competitions

Greenwood is committed to youth development through 4-H Shooting Sports programs, junior high-power teams that compete at Camp Perry, and FFA shotgun training. The club also hosts hunter education courses in partnership with Brazoria County Parks Department and offers the Dr. Ray Jess Scholarship for deserving shooters.

The club is members-only for general range use. However, matches and competitions conducted at Greenwood are typically open to the public with gate access available during registration periods. Members enjoy access to partner facilities like Skeeter's Gun Range for discounted memberships offering indoor shooting options.
