Buffalo Creek Gun Club sits at 8,100 feet near Pine, Colorado—a member-run 501(c)(3) non-profit that serves over 1,550 public and member shooters annually. Their charter is straightforward: educate people in the safe and responsible use of firearms.
The 47-acre facility features 21 rifle/pistol lanes with dedicated berms at 25, 50, and 100 yards, plus a long-range section with 15 lanes at 200, 300, and 600 yards. All targets are mounted to NRA/CMP standard frames. The natural setting combines accessibility with serious shooting capability—whether you're zeroing a new rifle or dialing in precision loads at distance.
Public shooters can access the range year-round with daily passes: - $25 – Adult day pass - $45 – Family day pass - $10 – Active/Retired Military or First Responder (adult) - $20 – Active/Retired Military or First Responder (family)
Weekend access opens to the public starting Memorial Day weekend, but year-round arrangements are available for other days through their Range Access program.
BCGC is remote. Limited cellular service and emergency response times up to 40 minutes. Roads are USFS fire access roads that may require high-clearance vehicles, especially seasonally.
Range Restrictions: No full-auto firearms, steel-core ammo, incendiary/tracer rounds, exploding targets, shotshells, or .50 BMG. Fire protocols are strict—check Colorado Red Flag Warnings before heading out.
The Range Communications System (WiFi) operates 8am–7pm daily. Monthly Board meetings happen the 3rd Tuesday at 6:30pm at Aspen Park Community Center in Conifer.
Interested shooters can apply for membership. Contact information and detailed access instructions (including video directions) are on their website.
