Old Colony Sportsmen's Association in Pembroke operates multiple shooting ranges covering rifle, pistol, archery, and practical shooting sports. The club hosts everything from casual shooters to competitive athletes, with year-round events and instruction.
Winter Rifle Matches have been running every year since 1969. The 20-week season runs Sundays from November through March on the 200-yard range, with matches starting at 10:00 AM. Relays begin approximately every 35 minutes, so you can show up anytime before 3:00 PM sign-up closes. Cost is $3 per category. All matches fire from standing position.
Jr. Rifle Program runs Wednesdays, 4:30-6:00 PM for ages 10-20. Instruction focuses on .22 caliber rifles on the 50-foot indoor range. No club membership required to participate.
Precision Pistol shoots Thursdays, 6:00-8:00 PM year-round. Matches use .22 caliber semi-auto pistols in SLOW, TIMED, and RAPID formats (10 shots each), with center fire competition in August. Scores are emailed to the league. Team guns and instruction available.
IDPA Practical Shooting offers intro courses (5-6 hours) covering terminology, range commands, and safe course navigation. Tier 1 matches feature 6 stages completed in 4.5 hours with optional 5x5 classifier stages. PCC allowed (limited to 10-round magazines per club rules). Shooters must complete an intro course before competing.
Indoor Archery meets Tuesday nights, 6:00-8:00 PM with two rotating sessions (6-7 PM, then 7-8 PM if demand warrants). Minimum age is 8 years old. Free introductory lessons available; 9-lesson package costs $100. Drop-in shooting is $2.00 per target. Access through clubhouse hall only (parking lot door unavailable during sessions).
Range Safety Orientation & Tour is mandatory for new and prospective members, held multiple Sundays monthly, 8:30-11:00 AM.
Monthly Membership Meetings occur first Monday of each month, 7:00-9:00 PM. New members vote on membership, club discusses expenditures and shooting topics. Kitchen is open. Indoor range closed during meetings.

OCSA partners with major shooting organizations including Eastern Mass Rifle League, IDPA, Plymouth County League, South Shore Rifle & Pistol League, Mass Conservation Alliance, GOAL, NSSF, Mass Wildlife, and The Civil Rights Coalition.
