Lapeer County Sportsmen's Club

Lapeer County Sportsmen's Club operates one of Michigan's longest-running community shooting facilities. Since its founding over 70 years ago, the club has maintained 50 acres of managed ranges and facilities in Attica, making it the county's go-to venue for shooters of all skill levels.

The club maintains dedicated facilities for:

• •Rifle ranges with sight-in days scheduled throughout the year
• •Pistol ranges (pistol caliber only—no .223/5.56mm or rifle calibers)
• •Shotgun range now open to the public Saturday-Sunday, 9 AM–4 PM
• •Archery facilities
• •Cowboy shooting with a full Western town setup
• •Muzzleloader range

The club schedules over a dozen specialized activities annually, many open to non-members.

• •Hunter Education classes (via DNR partnership)
• •Women's Shooting Group meets twice monthly (2nd & 3rd Fridays at 6 PM) during warmer months
• •Project Appleseed rifle marksmanship clinics
• •CPL/CCW training through NRA-sanctioned instructors
• •Wild Game Dinner (annual fundraiser)
• •.22 LR Long Range Challenge (last Saturday of month, 9 AM–2 PM)

New members must attend a required orientation at 5:30 PM before the first Wednesday membership meeting each month. The club offers:

• •Special rates for seniors and families
• •Volunteer appreciation dinners (40+ volunteer hours/year)
• •College scholarships for students (applications due March 31)
• •Free WiFi in meeting halls

Beyond shooting ranges, LCSC features a recently remodeled main hall, dedicated classroom/meeting space, and a wilderness trail with shooting stations. All ranges open daily, though the calendar shows scheduled events that may affect availability.
