Full description and what we offer

Adam G. Henrich resurrected his family's 150-year legacy when he opened John Henrich Company in 2010. The original business—founded in 1867 by his great-great-grandfather, a Prussian immigrant tinsmith—operated for 115 years on Buffalo's William Street. Adam chose the name as tribute to that heritage while pursuing his own American Dream: a gunsmith shop and retail store in Western New York.

His path to gunsmithing started young. He refinished his first rifle (a Mauser GEW 98) at age 12 and built his first muzzleloader from a kit that same year. After graduating from Colorado College with a BA in History, Adam served nine years as a Marine Infantry Officer, deploying for operations in Haiti, Albania, Kosovo, Turkey, and Afghanistan. An injury in 2006 ended his active service. He enrolled in Pennsylvania Gunsmith School in 2007, graduated in 2009, and opened the shop in Eden in 2010.

The shop carries a full range of firearms, ammunition, optics, and reloading supplies:

  • Optics & accessories: Leupold, Nikon, Bushnell scopes; ammunition; powder; primers; targets; reloading supplies
  • Specialty: John Henrich is the WNY Regional Sales Agent for Federal Eastern International (FEI), a law enforcement distributor of body armor and protective accessories from Point Blank Enterprises—the world's largest manufacturer of ballistic protection equipment used by the FBI, DEA, USMC, Special Forces, and NYPD.

This is where the shop truly specializes. Adam offers extensive custom work with transparent, detailed pricing:

Four finish options: - Option 1 (Standard): Satin/400 grit finish via hot immersion - Option 2 (Blast): Complete satin bead/blast (+$40) - Option 3 (High Gloss): Mirror finish on round barrels and cylinders only - Option 4 (Hot Rust): Traditional finish for shotgun barrels
