Established in 1913, Custer Rod and Gun Club operates two separate shooting facilities serving the Miles City area and all of Custer County. The club runs entirely on volunteer effort and membership support—no corporate structure, just shooters keeping it going.

Established in 1913, Custer Rod and Gun Club operates two separate shooting facilities serving the Miles City area and all of Custer County. The club runs entirely on volunteer effort and membership support—no corporate structure, just shooters keeping it going.
Memberships run calendar year (January 1 – December 31). Renew online anytime, or mail a check to P.O. Box 303, Miles City, MT 59301. New memberships take 2-3 weeks to process since everything is volunteer-run.
Key detail: Life memberships are not available. You renew yearly.

Important dates: - Membership year runs Jan 1 – Dec 31 - Memberships purchased after December 1 are good through Dec 31 of the following year - Unpaid memberships get shut off March 1 each year - Annual meeting and banquet: First Saturday in February
Door prize drawing requires you to have your membership card. Prize for 2026 is a Ruger 10/22 in .22LR. Volunteer incentive prize is a Heritage Revolver in .22LR/.22MAG.
