Firearms Researcher & BGC Founder
I’ve loved firearms since I was a kid. The engineering, the artistry, the fact that humanity looked at a rock and spent a few thousand years perfecting the art of throwing it harder. I was a casual enthusiast until I started working at Old Arms of Idaho in 2018.
That’s where it went from hobby to something deeper. Over four years I helped build their e-commerce operation — 20,000+ product catalog, GunBroker sales, the whole storefront. But the part that really shaped how I think about firearms was the hands-on work. I’ve had well over 2,000 fully disassembled firearms come through my hands, cataloging every pin, spring, and extractor, and finding a price for each one. You learn a lot about how guns work when you’ve had that many of them in pieces on your bench.
I built Boise Gun Club because gun owners, FFLs, ranges, and shooting sports people deserve a platform that actually wants them there. It covers events, directory, ranges, handbook, market — all 50 states. On the editorial side, I take a clinical approach — what happened, why it matters, who’s involved, and what comes next. No opinion, no spin. Especially with law and legislative content, I just state the facts and cite the sources. You can form your own conclusions.
I’m based in Boise, Idaho. My in-laws are inducted PITA Hall of Fame members, and I grew up around this community. I’m a novice reloader, an aspiring competitive shooter at best, and I still get excited every time I learn something new about a firearm I haven’t seen before.
